Social anxiety or social phobia is a very common phobia where the sufferer feels intense anxiety in situations where they may be put on the spot, judged and criticised. They worry how others perceive them and lack of confidence and low self esteem is always an underlying factor. Social anxiety encompasses a wide variety of symptoms and behaviours, all of which can be very distressing to the individual concerned. As with many anxiety based problems, the severity of the symptoms are inextricably linked to the levels of external stress the individual is coping with. This however then creates a vicious circle as the symptoms themselves then create further stress.

For some socially phobic the idea of getting married, being the centre of attention for the day and having to socialise with guests terrifies them enough to put off the big day. Others may find their careers suffer because they are just not able to perform to their abilities when put under the microscope in an interview situation or when giving a presentation.
Relationships may be tested where the man continues to suffer from premature ejaculation or male erectile dysfunction. These are all areas where the attention is focused upon them, with the possibility of being judged. Many people dealing with the angst of social anxiety are quite adept at masking their symptoms with avoidance techniques and sometimes the use of alcohol. They can appear rather confident individuals providing they are not forced out of their comfort zone and into the limelight. Only the individual concerned knows the depth of emotional trauma that they continue to live with.
All the above are purely symptoms resulting from bottled up emotion, stored very cleverly by our young sub-conscious minds, when we were of an age where our minds were simply not mature enough to process or deal with upsetting or embarrassing childhood events. Pure Hypnoanalysis is a specialised form of Hypnotherapy used to gently release this bottled up- emotion, bringing you to full adult conscious awareness of such events and ultimately release you from your symptoms permanently.
