Jo Daughters D Hyp (Adv) MIAEBP, D STRESS MAN. MISMA
Hi, I’m sure you would like to know a little more about me before you choose me as your therapist and so you should.
I started my journey to becoming a therapist 13 years ago after a lifetime of being fascinated by people and the workings of the mind.
After doing much research into training organisations I decided to train with the prestigious Hypnotherapy Control Board who has been training hypnotherapists for the last 30 plus years.
Having completed my Diploma in Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy I was invited to join The International Association of Evidenced Based Psychotherapy (IAEBP), formerly known as the International Association of Pure Hypnoanalysts.
The IAEBP ensures that the highest level of ethics and code of standards are applied and maintained to safeguard any client that enters into therapy with one of its members.
Continual professional development is a prerequisite for membership of the association and I have enjoyed advanced training in : Advanced Psychoanalytical Techniques, Sexual Abuse and Sexual Offending, Medical Hypnoanaethesia, Hypnosis for Sports Development, Hypnosis for Childbirth, The Thrive Programme, to name a few.
Having completed my Psychotherapy/Hypnotherapy diploma I continued my studies into the physical, emotional and behavioural effects of workplace stress and obtained an Oxford Cambridge RSA Diploma in Stress Management.
This enables me to deliver workplace Stress Management and Health and Well-being training for employees, as well as offering individual coaching sessions. I am a full member of the International Stress Management Association (ISMA).
With a thirst for knowledge to find even better ways to help my clients I continue my training. I am now a certified Hypno-Band Weight Loss practitioner, a certified Hypnotension practitioner and probably the most exciting for me a Thrive Programme Consultant. On a personal note:
On a personal note I’m always living life to the full. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and watching my gorgeous grand- daughter grow each day. I adore Musical Theatre – check out the amazing Big Little Theatre School in Bournemouth whom I had the fabulous pleasure and privilege of working with for over 10 years. Travelling and spending time with my lovely husband is a real passion for me. I enjoy meeting new people, eating wonderful food, feeling the sun on my bones, reading a good book and I’m more than happy! Helping my clients to become the very best they can be is very important to me, whilst enjoying life and Thriving myself!
